Since the last post, we have been joined by Barilang Mawlong as a Research Associate. She is an expert on B-physics and brings in much needed expertise in this field to our group.
Some of the projects mentioned in the earlier posts have been completed.
The WW paper on the Littlest Higgs Model has been completed and published in the JHEP. It can be found here.
A letter has been written on the scalar K pi form factor and just posted on the arxiv.

Ongoing activities
Gauhar Abbas, B. Ananthanarayan, I. Sentitemsu Imsong and S. Ramanan are engaged in extending previous works to include phase of timelike region and modulus for the pi-pi electromagnetic formfactor as well as the pi K scalar and form factors and also include spacelike constraints whenever possible.
B. Ananthanarayan and Monalisa Patra are studying W-pair production at the ILC and possibilities of obtaining bounds on
(a) parameters of the littlest Higgs model in collaboration with P. Poulose and (b) on anomalous gauge boson couplings in collaboration with Saurabh D. Rindani

Welcome to Barilang Mawlong
Dr. Barilang Mawlong who has just finished her Ph. D. from the University of Hyderabad and is an expert on B physics will now join the group. This message is to welcome her.
Publications update
Several publications have emerged from the group. The analysis of the inclusion of spacelike constraints and phase of timelike data with the observable Pi'(-Q^2) has resulted in a publication authored by Gauhar Abbas, B. Ananthanarayan and S. Ramanan. Soon afterwards the study of the pi K scalar form factor was taken up, and the inclusion of constraints from the well-known Callan-Treiman point, and now from the soft Kaon analog of the point, now christened the second Callan-Treiman point was taken up. It has been shown that based on such analyticity techniques one can now estimate the correction at the second point to the one-loop result which amounts to about 3%. The resulting publication by Gauhar Abbas and B. Ananthanarayan reports these findings.
Monalisa Patra and a summer student Rituparna Chakrabarti along with B. Ananthanarayan analyzed the present status of the single top events at Fermilab and reported it for the Research News section of Current Science, which can be found here.
